Car rentals
You can find car rental services from a variety of car rental companies. All the major rental car chains are here, including Hertz, Alamo, Budget, Europcar, Avis, National, Thrifty and Dollar, plus a couple smaller ones like Fox Rent A Car and U Save. You can review their offers prior to your arrival and book your car rental ahead of time either using the company’s website, a major booking site like Expedia or Travelocity, or simply rent a car after you landed in Puerto Vallarta.
Often discount websites like Hotwire or Priceline can have special deals, especially last-minute offers, but make sure to read the fine print because there are restrictions.
Food – Restaurants and Bars
If you are waiting for another flight within or out of Mexico you can find plenty of food places from bars (Bar Corona, Corner Bar) to Coffee places (Coffee Caffe and Starbucks Coffee) and restaurants featuring local or international cuisine. Featured restaurants are Henry J. Beans Bar & Grill, Tacos Chabelita and Wings Restaurant & Bar. Fast food is also available from Carl’s Jr., Healthy Corner and Sbarro. These are located near the lounge areas in the airport either before or after the security gates.
Hotels
There is no hotel onsite at the airport. The closest airport hotel is probably either
Comfort Inn or Marriott Casa Magna but others like Puerto de Luna and Golden Crown Paradise are very close as well, maybe 2 or 3 miles. You can get good last minute deals on Puerto Vallarta hotels on a site like Expedia, Hotwire or Priceline. Just make sure to take notice of any restrictions.
Wi-Fi Wireless Internet Access
Puerto Vallarta airport features wi-fi wireless internet through Telia so it’s easy to do business or just entertain yourself while waiting for your flight.
Parking services
Whether you need to leave your car at the airport for a few hours or a few days the Puerto Vallarta Airport has parking facilities that are available for travelers in exchange for a parking fee.
Banking Services
You can find a foreign exchange office at the airport as well as ATM from the major local or international banks like HSBC, Scotiabank, Banorte or Bancomer. Make sure to review the charges for foreign ATM transactions for each of your cards that you plan to use. Rather than bring pesos to Puerto Vallarta, you can just take out pesos out of the ATM once you arrive.
